A service experience for 6th-8th graders in the Fall of ’12

This year we head north to Duluth where today the population includes 15.5% who live in poverty. While the city has been recognized as a great place to live, this is not the case for all residents. Come partner with the community to help this city reach its potential for a high quality of life with your encouragement and service. We will spend a week in Duluth this summer serving people in tangible ways. Some acts of service might include serving in a soup kitchen, playing with children, visiting elderly or homeless shelters, or sorting at a thrift store. All the while, we will practice being the hands and feet of Jesus. Each day, we’ll begin with devotions and end the day in Club with music and a message that’s relevant to middle school students. And of course we’ll have fun, too.  Even if you’ve visited Duluth before, you’ll see it through a new lens this summer on this life changing trip.
